Thermoresponsive Polymeric Materials For Ocular Delivery Of Dexamethasone
Dexamethasone is used for treating several ocular inflammatory diseases. In order to reach its intraocular targets and maintain therapeutic levels, it is administered into the eye via repeated intravitreal injections. To provide prolonged duration of action after administration, we designed, synthetized, and characterized hydrogel and micellar delivery systems built from thermoresponsive polymeric materials suitable for ocular drug delivery, and achieved slow sustained release of dexamethasone for over 40 days In Vitro.
